The Council of Europe Resolution 1205
The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe unanimously passed Resolution 1205 on 5 November 1999, which called for the restitution of looted Jewish property in Europe.

Vilnius International Forum Declaration on Holocaust Era Looted Cultural Assets
The Vilnius International Forum took place in 2000 as a follow-up to the Washington Conference on Holocaust-Era Assets. The conference culminated in the Vilnius Forum Declaration.

European Parliament Resolution and Report of Committe on Legal Affairs and Internal Market
The European Parliament Resolution and Report was drawn up by the European Parliament's Committee on Legal Affairs and the Internal Market, and was passed in a vote of the European Parliament on 17 December 2003.

Austria
Federal law of 4 December 1998 concerning the return of works of art from Austrian federal museums and collections.

Belgium
Law of December 20, 2001 relating to the indemnification for the Belgian Jewish Community's assets, which were plundered, surrendered or abandoned during the Second World War.

Czech Republic
Law No. 212/2000. Act of 23 June 2000 to mitigate certain property-related injustices caused by the Holocaust and to amend Act No. 243/1992, to regulate certain issues relating to Act No. 229/1991 regarding the ownership of land and other agricultural property as amended by Act No. 92/199.

France
